Dialectic resides at the vortex where multiple streams converge.

The album is like a peice of New York SOHO amidst an open Norwegian mountain range.

It is avantguard with a touch of the 60s. It embraces modernist and progressive tendencies as it transgresses traditional form. Dramatically akin to scenes in a play, it transports the listener on a journey from the jazz club, to the mountain, and even through the jungle.

The album is a non-verbal conversation between fluid lyrical elements, mathematical systems, and even social, and political contemplations through overlaying speeches.

Suddenly, even a poem emerges from the forrest.

Ludum is a Norwegian improvisational and experimental piano/drum duo. The expression is rooted in jazz traditions. The concept is exploratory, challenging and progressive. The music is versatile in form, rhythmically and harmonically with a supporting lyrical element. Ludum consists of pianist Eivind Stordal and drummer Mats Monstad.
